COE and population growth

The number of cars allowed on our roads is reaching its limits. The capacity of our trains is also reaching its limits and showing increasing signs of breaking down.  No? How much more can be built to cater to public transport infrastructure without bursting the national purse or causing the commuters an arm or a leg? Private transport is now like a highway robber demanding a hundred thousand just for a pass. And the Govt claims there is no other way. The roads are congested, there is just not enough land to build more roads. Oh, can build one more level of roads over existing roads. Sure, how much and where is the money coming from?

There is no need to engage a foreign consultant or even a professor from the universities to confirm that there is just no more elbow room to move around. And LTA is shrinking the number of COEs available by the days. It has to, a necessary and tough decision. Of course if we have not flooded the city with so many people and build up every little nooks and corners, we may not be in the current fix.

What about another 700,000 in the pipeline waiting to join us? How is this going to affect our infrastructure, housing and roads? Is it a good thing, and is it avoidable or do we have to face more stringent measures once they are here and what are the reasons, got no choice? The choice is now, to stop more people coming in. I will touch on the property bubble in another post.

Why you keep giving feedback on bad PAP policies?

COE prices too high ... GOOD
Property price too high ... GOOD
Train overcrowded and breaking down ... GOOD

I want to see a shit load of national problems just before GE 2016.
It's no point telling deaf frogs they have bad policies.

It's better to keep quiet and wait for the situation to explode.
And then blame the deaf frogs.
It's the only way to convince the dumb 60%.
And to get a more competent political party into government.

All these failed policies and measures cost citizens a lot of monies but no results. Only beneficiary is government collecting even more taxes ?

If You are at Kuala Lumpur today, You will have plenty of fotos to take at the Merdeka Stadium.
Reportedly 1 million out of a total of about 27 millions in population will be there.

Truly awesome, Malaysians boleh indeed.

Will there be 100 thousand at Punggol East?

The damage has been done and it has gone down too far, beyond redemption. More skeletons will keep falling out of the cupboard. The cupboard is so full that there is no way of holding the door anymore. Everything is bursting out.

The good thing, they are still thinking everything is under control, everything is well, everything is perfect.

No need to worry.

These people only know one way to grow the economy. What is the cost to our way of life is something they don't even give two hoots about. I happen to believe in the future more professional jobs will be systematically hollowed in the name of global competitiveness. If you are a professional, middle class and a family man. My advice to you is get out now before it becomes a pressure cooker. Get out now! Start planning your plan B. And get out now.

We have reached the end point when government simply cannot be either believed or trusted any longer.

They brought in foreign housing and student agents to replace local agents. They brought in foreign IT talents to replace local IT talents. They brought in foreign lecturers to replace local lecturers. They brought in foreign finance talents to replace local talents. They brought in foreign property buyers to replace local buyers. They brought in foreigners to replace locals to be MPs. They are brought in foreigners to fill our university places meant for locals, esp in medicine. Now they are bringing in foreigners to replace local lawyers.

They brought in foreigners in the millions to replace the local population.

Yes, Darkness is right.

If what I am thinking is correct, they will continue to grow the vehicle population. It is a win-win situation for them.

How much do they collect from the sale of each car? COE, import duties etc is so good, why kill the golden goose? When the roads get too congested, more measures will be introduced such as charging for road usage the moment cars leave the car park. That has been suggested already. By them, they just sit tight and just collect money, perhaps outsourcing the car park monitoring to someone else.

Undeniably consider that that you said. Your favorite justification appeared to be at the internet the
simplest factor to take into accout of. I say to you, I definitely get irked whilst other people consider worries that they plainly don't know about. You controlled to hit the nail upon the top and defined out the entire thing with no need side-effects , other folks could take a signal. Will likely be again to get more. Thank you
