The White Paper proves that all the Singaporeans are mad except a few good men who came out with this great scheme.

Hi RB will you be coming?

Anonymous said...

Why bother, when the 7 Opposition MPs are happy with the 6.9 millions lah...and HUAT AH for them lah..

Anonymous said...

As usual only 200 to 300 will attend lar

Chua Chin Leng aka redbean said...

If I am not committed, I will try to be there. This one is likely to be big. The problem is it is too close to CNY.

Anonymous said...

They should postpone one more week. Any opp political parties invited to attend?

Anonymous said...

Sinkies very kiasi one. Very few will attend especially now got camera there

Anonymous said...

This is one good reason why it was announced before CNY ! On the other hand, we could talk about it during all visits with friends and relatives.

As with all the MIW and ministers, are you whole lot are nodding YES with the proposal??? Can't be on your own??? sigh.....

I'll be there. See you there RB.

Any opposition party members going ?

If they also agree 6.9 million, then what for we go? Waste time right ?

Or, they may disagree because they are opposition, and then say 6.6 million is alright, then what ? Should we still protest ?

I am not so sure opposition party will disagree to higher population you know, because that means they can expand to new areas and increase AUM (Assholes Under Management) , so in a way, it is HUAT AH for them.

the commentators on this page can only complain and talk big. when it comes to the crunch, when it comes to protest, i see so many excuses:
1. WP not going, why should i go, why bother?
2. the cynic: only 2-300 will go
3. if i have nothing on, i will go
4. it's too close to CNY
5. they should postpone 1 week later
6. any opposition party going?
7. got camera there, so i won't attend
8. waste time right?
only gintai, feedmetothefish & patriot have committed themselves to go. i respect them. the rest deserves the PAP as your masters, as matilah always say. i suspect the excuse makers complain a lot about the miws but they secretly vote for the pappies. shame on you! the ah tiong smrt bus drivers, who had so much (their rice bowls) to lose by protesting & going on strike, have bigger balls than you all. you all deserved to be replaced by the ah tiongs.

8.07 pm, u probably younger guy so u ok at protest etc cause u can run if something unpleasant happen, some of us are older, we can not run so if some trouble makers make trouble there and red truck come, we can not run so die standing and kena beat up for nothing.

We prefer just go through the ballot box lor

Anonymous said...

Even RBI may not go what and he more outspoken than many of us who believe in the ballot box more than protest mah

Anonymous said...

I agreed as I also like RB too old to run so just stick to ballot box lar

Anonymous said...

more excuses:
9) i'm old
10) i cannot run
11) i scared kena beat up for nothing (?????)
12) i'm afraid of getting arrested
13) rb also not going
14) i prefer ballot box
15) something unpleasant might happen, trouble makers.

really deserve the miw's you all.

"Protest at Hong Lim Park on 6.9m population"

Oh how cute. :) You do know organized protests are illegal in Singapore right? I mean, it'll be a shame to see you folks arrested for inciting civil unrest... and your children blacklisted for life...

But then again, it's about time our riot police see some action...

Old and young, male and female, New Citizens and PRs of all Races will be most welcome to join in to conversate with fellow countrymen.
On top of forging camaraderies amongst the People, participants may like to know that You arr part of the TURNING TIDE THAT HAPPEND ONLY ONCE IN 50 YEARS. THAT YOU HAVE A PART IN THE HISTORY OF SINGAPORE.

Spend half an hour or longer with your fellow Singaporeans, come share Your wishes and hopes. We surely must have much in common for our homeland. So, let us show it together.

Rest assure that we are all sensible folks and will have an enjoyable meeting.

Patriot,
U sure safe or not to attend. There have cameras as I surveyed the site last time.

Some more Raymond said illegal and get arrested

patriot said...

@Anon 7:05pm.

I will like many others feel safe to be at Hong Lim Park.
Had been there frequently to enjoy the programmes in the past.

Me not interested with the cameras as me has got nothing to do with it.

It will be good if You can come and see for yourself that there is nothing wrong for You to be there. You will meet many welknown personalities, some of which are recognized intellectuals.

One of the main reason for me to go Hong Lim Park is to listen to the more enlightened Singaporeans. It is beneficial for people like us who had little education. Personally, me feels good to have the opportunity to learn from calibre folks. And there no need to register and pay to attend.

I shall say that so long as one does not do anything wrong or harmful to others, there is no reason and no need to imagine too much about rumours. Fear not when You are law abiding and love your country.

I fear not the cameras.

But who are the calibre folks ?

Anonymous said...

Presidential Candidate certainly qualifies as calibre and so are those highly qualified professionals that had been active at the Speaker Corner in the past.
They maybe around on the 16th Feb 2013 as they usually did in past events.

Gosh I sure hope that no wars will hit Singapore. Why?

"You young you go lor!"

As if Singapore is not your home, as if it is not where your heart is.

If you are old and have a family to defend, who cares about your age, race, occupation or political affiliation?

So are you saying that when a robber rob your house, you will say to yourself, "I am old and useless. I don't know martial arts. I don't think the robber is dangerous"

Damn it...if you choose to cower in your house wardrobe and your wife and daughter got raped by the robber, you will LOSE all dignity as a human being!

Goodness gracious, these are the kind of citizens I am called to protect at the time of war?

Complain all you want...but when you are looking for people to protect you from the government's misguided policies, don't blame us for not doing anything since that's the same attitude some of you here have: doing nothing.

there in lies the problem. if young singaporeans today dont even feel like singapore belong to them anymore, what does the future hold? espeically with all these ridiculous policies coming up?

in the past when I was young, I used to sing national anthem loudly at flag raising till my friends around me said I was mad. Even when I heard the national anthem being played outside I would still stand still even at home while other people didnt care. But as I grew older, I gradually opened my eyes and now whenever I hear the national anthem I dont even feel anything for it anymore.

Automatic behaviour of a brain-washed automaton, so deeply conditioned that it responds to a fucking tune. Nothing to be proud of here.

>> now whenever I hear the national anthem I dont even feel anything

Congratulations. Welcome to the world of mature, rational, independent ADULTS.
