Criminals can serve jail sentences at home

When I heard that MP Murali asked in Parliament if Kong Hee can serve his jail sentence at home I was really shock. Who in his right mind would ever think of that except for minor crimes. Any crime that deserved a jail sentence cannot be minor.  When I recovered from my shocking spell and recomposed myself, I started to appreciate what this Murali had in mind. He came across as a very caring MP, caring for voters in his ward. Oops, I am not sure if Kong Hee is a PR, a local, or a citizen. Can anyone confirm this? And if indeed Kong Hee is a citizen then his MP should be speaking for him. I also think Murali is not his MP. Where is Kong Hee's MP, sleeping, not caring for the people that voted for him?

I have further thoughts on this matter and the more I think about it, the more I am convinced that Murali has very good intention. Put it this way, cheating a few million dollars without intention to cheat and never benefiting from it except for his wife, should not be dealt with so harshly. And Kong Hee is such a nice guy, saving so many poor souls and helping them to be rich and to go to heaven. These must be good mitigating factors to deserve serving his jail sentence at home.

There are also obvious tangible and financial benefits and considerations to support Murali's thought. It is very costly to keep a person in prison. The cell and the bed, the medical support and the 'Or tau png' ie black bean rice, also cost money. There will be so much savings if Kong Hee would to serve his sentence at home and pay for his own cell, his own food and medical services.  And the cell and cells for such cases would be needed for those creating fake news or cannot pay their compulsory CPF insurance schemes. The prison must prepare to cater for more intakes with so many new laws coming up.

An added financial incentive would be that prisoners granted jail sentences at home would have to pay $100 a day for this privilege. And there will be no discount for holidays and Sundays. The govt coffers would be much richer if the sentence of 7 years, ie 7x365x$100 is paid. I think this is great idea. And the rich prisoners would be more than willing to serve their jail sentence at home so that the cell space could be allocated to other more needy cases, the hardups that cannot afford to pay.

What do you think, good idea or not? I fully agree with Murali though Shanmugam has rejected it. This is indeed a fine idea from a very clever and caring MP. 'Mo tak teng'. Any idea that makes money for the govt, I like. Then perhaps they would spare the people's savings in the CPF from more compulsory schemes.

Stupidity of Asean leaders is unlimited

The recent Asean Summit Meeting with a little country like Australia, big only in land mass, speaks for itself, that Asean leaders are still wearing blinkers and could not tell the difference between a dwarf and a giant. But this is not the most stupid part of this meeting. In the concluding message, Turnbull had this to say as he assumed the role of big brother of the little coloured people.

‘Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull at the conclusion of an Asean-Australia special summit. Mr Turnbull said Asean and Australia reaffirmed their commitment to respond strongly and resolutely in the face of the reclusive state’s “reckless and illegal nuclear-missile programmes”.’ CNA

What is so reckless about North Korea having nuclear weapons to protect themselves and prevent themselves from the same fate as Saddam Hussein and the Iraqi people when the USA is going to make its nuclear arsenal more deadly? What grave concerns? When have the North Koreans used nuclear weapons on any country? When have the North Koreans threaten to nuke any Asean country or want to conduct a preemptive strike into any of these silly countries? Is there any reason for the North Koreans to want to do so? The grave concern is the USA threatening to conduct a preemptive strike against North Korea. Can the stupid Asean leaders see the difference?

Which evil country has been threatening to nuke other countries by accusing other countries as a threat to them? Which evil country had actually nuked another country? Which evil country has been conducting wars of invasion, regime change everyday for the last seven decades? Which evil country has been stoking war, provoking and instigating for war?

Isn’t such a country more reckless and dangerous instead of North Korea? Asean was formed to foster closer economic ties among its member countries and with other countries. Why is Asean now behaving like an American lackey singing the American lies and demonising countries that the Americans want them to demonise? Why allowed the Americans and Australia to set the agenda?

While North Korea is repeatedly being bashed by silly Asean leaders, the smarter European countries are having their own friendly negotiations with the North Koreans without having any fear of a ‘reckless’ nuclear North Korea. Why are European countries feeling so safe and secure and why are some silly Asean countries feeling so unsafe and unsecure of North Korea? The Swedes and Finns are very comfortable talking to the North Koreans and making friends with the North Koreans. And if I am not mistaken, some Asean countries are also quietly trading with the North Koreans except those semi colonised non independent countries that are controlled by the Americans.

What have Asean countries got to fear North Korea about when all its neighbours are not uttering a word except those allied with the evil Empire and wanting to invade that country? Why waste time talking about a non problem just because the Americans and the Australians want to make it a problem?

When would Asean leaders grow up and think independently, that North Korea is not the concern of Asean, and to tell the Americans that it would not want to be dragged around by the ears by the Americans?

Angmoh tua kee is it?

PS. If the sillies had their ways, in 30 years time Singapore would have a bigger population than Australia. Would Asean then hold a summit as a group with Singapore?

The most successful fake news campaign – demonizing China and the Chinese Civilisation

Fake news as a weapon of war to confuse, mislead, attack and demoralise the enemies is nothing new. It is a consistent campaign conducted over time, years, decades, even centuries, to destroy the enemy without anyone knowing what was going on. In the words of Michael Raska, from S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies ...fake news is a weapon used for invasion by other countries. “A campaign of disinformation, where falsehoods are spread subtly and gradually, could be the first step in an attack on Singapore. This is especially so for foreign actors who want to attack Singapore, but cannot do so using military means.”

The most successful fake news campaign was conducted by the West and western media to demonise China and the Chinese Civilisation over the last few centuries. If you remove the word ‘Singapore’ in the above quote and insert ‘China’, it is exactly what was happening in the past till today and going on everyday even in articles from western mischievous writers in our local papers.

China was a victim of invasion, colonialism and imperialism until the country was bankrupted, the people humiliated and demoralised and their confidence as a civilisation totally destroyed. But the West and western media glorified their wars and invasion of China and the rest of the world as if Imperialism and Colonialism were the good things, the invaders and murderers and plunderers were the heroes, the good guys, knighted as Sir this and Sir that by their kings and queens. And the real victims, the Africans, the Asians, the Indians and the Chinese were the bad guys.

The success of this fake news campaign is so damaging till today that many Asian leaders are still fearing China as a war monger waiting to conquer and invade their countries when the real invaders were the Western countries and Japan. And to many people of Chinese origins in SE Asia, they even despised China and the Chinese Civilisation, ashamed to be Chinese, even hating the Chinese without knowing why but for the reasons planted into their unthinking mind by the western media.

And when the West ridiculed China, passed rude remarks about Chinese, they would giggle and agree, thinking that they were not Chinese and had nothing to do with being Chinese though they have yellow skin and Chinese parentage. Many would join in the attack and pass humiliating remarks about Chinese, not admitting that they were Chinese. Some may even want to change the colour of their skin, bleach them to be whites.

The local media did not help, in fact continue to publish articles of western origins that were anti China and the Chinese civilisation regularly as if they were truths and not fake news. The common angle that these western articles took would be China may be building roads and infrastructures for the developing countries, but China did not do it for humanitarian grounds but eyeing their natural resources. What is wrong with exchanging their work in infrastructure development with raw materials when these countries could not pay with currencies? Do they expect China to build all the infrastructures for free? Compares with the West selling arms and goods to these countries, for free, for humanitarian reasons? The colonisation of these countries was for humanitarian reasons, to civilise these countries, by robbing them of their land and natural resources without paying a single cent?

The media has been well exploited by the West for centuries to gold plate their evils deeds, their plunderings and killings of Asians and Africans while at the same time demonising other Asian and African countries. There was no condemnation of the mass murders and genocides conducted by the white Europeans in the past and in recent years. The native Americans, the African native slaves, the mass killings in North Korea, Japan, Vietnam, in Iraq, Libya, Syria, in Afghanistan, in many north African states, in Latin America, in the Philippines.

Practically all western media are in the job of passing fake news to glorify the West, the European Empires, the American evil Empire, their killings by the hundreds of thousands in the Middle East and Africa with impunity while accusing the Asian leaders of crimes against humanity. Duterte is a key victim, Assad, Kim Jong Un, now Aung San Suu Kyi, soon would be Najib. Putin and Xi are on the wanted hate list.

Who are the real producers of fake news? Main media or social media? The main role of mysingaporenews is to question and cast doubts on what the main media is pushing as the truth. Mysingaporenews will question what it thinks is fake news, half truths or misinformation to let the readers find their own truths.

Who is conducting a campaign of misinformation and falsehood, reputable western media? All the big names in the media industry are printing real news, not misinformation with private and hidden agenda?

What a joke!

PS. Anyone who has Chinese blood in him or her is a victim of this smear campaign originated from the West, even if he/she thinks he/she is a banana.

Fighting Deliberate onLine Falsehoods, with Whose Truths?

by MIKOspace

Singapore has begun public hearings by a Parliamentary Select Committee into Deliberate Online Falsehoods. After a few days of hearings, the emergent motherhood consensus is that deliberate online falsehoods can fracture and rapture social trust to the extent as to injure public safety and harm social order should they lead to pervasive and destructive civil disobedience.

I have underlined and emphasized the word “deliberate” so as to highlight its vague distinctions with “unknowing” or “unconscious” types of online falsehoods.  Admittedly, these apparent distinctions are rapidly lost in various intellectual and semantic translations.

Misinformation, half-truths and fake news are in fact not new.  We are surrounded by all forms of fake and false information in advertisements, man-made religions, philosophies, news articles and public relations spins. Official censorship together with the ideological control of the news and publishing media are also propaganda serving specific and particular power and economic interests.

According to The Oxford English Dictionary, the new word for 2016 is “post-truth”.  It refers to the existence of “alternative” truths. Whither therefore the status of “deliberate falsehoods” in the internet era of “post-truths”?

The sobering truth is that all information is “deliberate” falsehood and partial-truths to varying degree. Indeed, many would even challenge this statement itself as “deliberate” falsehood and a half-truth!  And they would be neither wrong nor right! Even as I strenuously state it with the sincerest of conviction and belief!  To me therefore, it is a fully true statement. And it also does not matter to me if you should consider it a falsehood.

Indeed, what difference does it matter? Herein lies the challenge in the war against “deliberate” online falsehood. If you don’t believe it, then don’t.  If you believe it, then own it and make it your very own!

In The Prince, Niccolo Machiavelli’s advised that “… he who seeks to deceive will always find someone who will allow himself to be deceived. To Machiavelli, the people are simple-minded, naïve and gullible, and therefore can be easily manipulated all the time (by those who have the power to do so). [italic words added are mine]. Indeed, Machiavelli of course could not be more wrong or right.

With today’s Internet, Google, Facebook, Instagram, Whatsapp … etc, we can expect unpredictable hysteria by the “naïve, gullible and simple-minded” at a greater speed and with dire public safety consequences.  Facebook has boasted of its active influence on the Arab Spring.  Both Facebook and Google do not however agreed to any restrictions or ban on the posting of partial truths, falsehoods and fake news. Quite understandably, no social media has the credentials to assume the role as a Truth-Watcher or Gate-Keeper on the Internet.

Every computer or mobile phone is a microphone for anyone who has something to say or write truth to the rest of the world. Indeed, no legitimate voice should be silenced, but it is arguable as to whether every voice should deserve equal air time on the proverbial social media microphone. The opportunity to be heard and thereby to influence is not a natural inherent birth right. Concepts, opinions, perceived facts and thought belong to the marketplace of ideas and innovations in the highly contested space of social reality.  Whatever and whichever prevailed are socially filtered and constructed through a process of mental and cultural construction that differentiate “falsehoods” from the applicable and practicable truths. Unfortunately, this truth-making process is often corrupted and interfered by crooked and less honourable people in positions of power.

Action Sensors on onLine Falsehoods
It is not within the capability and capacity of the Parliamentary Select Committee into Deliberate Online Falsehoods (PSCDOF), nor does it has the wisdom, competency and moral aptitude, to recommend and define the parameters of the vast arrays of applicable and practicable truths for the diverse Singapore population.

There are three (3) Action Sensors to evaluate whether corrective actions are necessary on alleged online falsehoods. The Action Sensors are (1) Content; (2) Context; and (3) Consequences. They are inter-related to be considered together integratively.

A mere statement or publication, however disagreeable or objectionable, does not render itself sufficient to be chastised or proscribed or punished. Since most information is incapable to be absolutely 100% true, partially true information likewise cannot be regarded to be totally false. The absolute truthfulness of statements and publications may often be irrelevant to those who find them objectionable or disagreeable.

This is obviously true with regard to any information pertaining to religious beliefs, traditions and practices held by believers or regarded by nonbelievers. Absolute truth is totally immaterial and irrelevant to believers and nonbelievers.

Within science in the disciplines of medicine, physical and biological sciences, there are also wide disagreements over theories, models and methods and which in turn provide the motivation and momentum for further research and their innovations.  Social sciences clashed repeatedly over the validity and reliability of their predictions, findings and theories.

As long as the contents of statements or publications are within the permissible bounds of applicable defamatory, libel and slander laws, there should be no basis for any punitive actions.

The context of disagreeable or objectionable statements or publications is an important factor to understand the motivation and purpose of their author(s).    What is known regarding the degree of intellectual acuity and their respective depth of technical knowledge in the subject(s) expressed or written about?  What audience or readers are addressed by the authors? Are the purposes personal, educational, political, social, economic and/or casual conversational?  Is the context closed or opened, referring to whether the statements and publications are intended for named individuals or a defined specific group or for the unspecified public?  A careful assessment of the context is critical to adjudge and infer whether the author(s) intend to cause chaos and mischief, harm public safety, denigrate self-respect, destroy self-esteem, entertain, educate and/or informational.
As long as there is no intention to disrupt social harmony or harm public safety, vigorous debates and conversations among well-informed and knowledgeable individuals in deeply divisive subject matters such as politics, religions, history, traditions and personal preferences, especially where one has the freedom to choose to enjoin, rebut or leave the discussions or debate, there should be no need for any interference by government officials or state authorities.

When the conflation of content and context resulted in damaging the social fabric of harmony, increased religious and racial tensions, disrupting social peace and harm public safety, enforcement actions are not only necessary, they are vital to restore peaceful social order. This is however applicable only in genuinely democratic societies. The strength of democracy does not however require the prohibition of falsehoods, but in their counter arguments and vigorous rebuttal where they matter.

Ironically, in freely democratic elections, the amounts of misinformation which deploy deliberate online and print falsehoods often multiply to overwhelm the voters.  Examples from the USA, UK, Europe and neighbouring nations require no elaboration.

However, to advocate by insisting on absolute truthfulness during elections is disingenuous and naïve. It is also a no-brainer proposition. Internet accessibility drives the momentum of both volume and quantity of information and misinformation.  Just as misinformation, half-truths and fake news are part and parcel of daily human society, they are also indispensably integral for many politicians during elections to grab and win the benefits of power and privileges.

Use IoT to Manage onLine Falsehoods
A non-partisan infrastructure comprising a mix of local and foreign election watchers with security enforcement powers is needed to assure that social peace is preserved and public safety maintained at a high level during and between the election periods.

The key in the effective management of online falsehood is NOT the utopian promotion of truth.  It is in the control and minimisation of the negative disruptive consequences of less-than-truthful information that matters. The following four (4) strategies using Internet-of-Things [IoT] can create a favourable impact:

[1] Technology
Eliminate anonymous internet postings.  Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and Social Media owners eg Facebook, Twitter, Instagram … etc must maintain registration of the valid and legitimate names of their subscribers who want to access and be accessible from Singapore.  This would also include any websites who allow feedback and comments on all things Singaporeans. Web-site and social media owners shall be held legally and punitively responsible for harm and damage to individuals and public safety.

[2] Education
Develop a high level of debating skills in our students, including critical thinking and independent thought.  Regular research and essay writing on contentious subjects, field trips, followed by presentations and questions from peers, teachers and visitors would help to reduce students’ simple-minded gullibility and naivety.

[3] Public Discourse
Promote regular public forum to encourage debates and critical discussions on interesting subject topics, and to learn the etiquette of mutually respectful conversations.  This would also raise the quality of comments and debates on the internet.

[4] Legal and Regulatory
Without anonymity, online actors who choose to cause social chaos and mischief, harm public safety, denigrate self-respect and destroy self-esteem of individuals and communities should face the full extent of incarceration and other legal punitive measures.

Freedom is our noble and privileged foundation to secure for ourselves, our children, our grandchildren and fellow Singaporeans the right to speak and write truth to power and the world. Every Singaporean should be educated to know and understand that they should not pre-digest any opinion unthinkingly, and they should not gullibly swallow everything that come through the internet and social media taps.
Read, listen and research everything of relevance and interest; question all but believe none of them; and arrive at your very own conclusions. There is no other victorious way to combat deliberate online falsehoods.

Tiger without his father

Tiger Woods has returned to play competitive golf again. He more or less disappeared, lost, for almost a decade after the demise of his father. Tiger Woods was in supreme form when his father was alive and guiding him with a firm hand. Tiger Woods was unbeatable with his father standing beside him like a pillar of strength.

The day his father passed away his game collapsed. He was lost. He destroyed everything he had, his family, including himself. His discipline life was in a mess. And so was his game. He fumbled and stumbled and lost not only his top world ranking, but could not win a competition henceforth. His sickness also took a toll on him. His back was crippling him.

Everyone who knew Tiger wrote him off completely. Tiger Woods without his father was a hapless child. He needed his father badly to bring his game back but everyday seemed to confirm that his glorious days were gone, game over.

A fortnight back in the Valspar Open Tiger Woods almost won. He came in second, losing only by a stroke. The Tiger that everyone wrote off is back and in contention. His return to golf and playing to win is most welcomed by the golfing world.

Tiger Woods has rediscovered himself. Tiger Woods has changed and found himself. He is now a man of his own. He has proven that he can win without his father. He has stepped out of the shadow of his father.

A Tiger Woods that can triumph over himself and play on his own merit, without the need for his father’s presence would be more fearsome and even better than before.
The new revived Tiger Woods is going to take the world of golf all over again as a new man. More victories would come his way. There is nothing more formidable than a man who is his own man and can win on his own steam, without his father watching over him.

Tiger Woods is the man.

Sergei Skripal – The Russians did it?

The evidence is crystal clear, beyond any doubt. The Russians did it. This is just like the sinking of the Choeonan, the killing of Kim Jong Nam, the sarin gas used by Assad. It is like the murderer deliberately left behind the murder weapon with his name carved on it.

The clearer and more obvious the evidence, the more smelly is the plot. Are the Russian intelligent agents so amateurish, fumbling and did not know how to wipe their mouths after eating? These are professionals, highly trained killers. Only the West, in this case the British, would want the world to believe the Russians are fools and committed a murder in broad daylight with evidence to tell the whole world they did it.

How many of you really believe that the Russians did it? How many of you believe Kim Jong Nam was murdered by the North Koreans? How many of you believe Assad would use sarin gas to attack his own people when the Americans and the West are putting him under a microscope? How many of you believe the Choeonan was sunk by the North Koreans and not by the Americans?

This is standard black ops 1.0. But not to worry, many of the unthinking would jump to conclusion without knowing that the ideas were planted in their simple minds to believe in what they read in the reputable media, with clear cut evidence that the Russians did it, the North Koreans did it, Assad did it. The reputable main media never print fake news, only the truth after many rounds of checks and confirmations!

Talking about fake news? Who is producing fake news? Remember WMD in Iraq, with information from the world’s top intelligent services in the USA and UK and France. And with their Presidents and PMs all believing in them and telling the whole world to believe in them. Then what was the truth eventually? Many dafts still insisting that Saddam Hussein had WMD and would not believe in this American and western lie. They refused to talk about it.

Who fabricated the false information on WMD? No, it is true? Saddam Hussein had WMD!
Sergei Skripal was a double agent that was exchanged for other Russian agents caught by the British. His score was settled, many decades back. There is no reason for the Russians to want to kill him any more. The plot was to kill him, after all he is no longer useful to the British anymore, oops, at least for one last time, to be killed and to put the blame on the Russians.

Strange, not true? What is benefiting from this wicked hoax and who is the victim? Russia or Britain? Did the British lose anything other than a useless Russian double agent? What has the Russians to gain from this killing of a historical non entity and with their names carved on the murder weapon?

Think, don't take things at face value, especially fake news from the main media and govt sources.

Americans are the darlings of Asean leaders

The Americans are in hot pursuit of Najib's crime in the 1MDB case. The Indonesian govt has helped the Americans to seize the hundred million dollar yacht, Equanimity, supposedly owned by Jho Low and with everyone knowing who is the real owner. The hounding of Jho Low is just a distraction from the main victim, Jho Low is only a front runner for you know who.

I am not sure why the Indonesians would lend a hand to do the dirty work for the Americans as if it is abiding by the American Law, that it is also a state of the USA, against the interest of fellow Asean leader.

The Americans are also deeply involved in the overthrow of the Duterte regime and many Pinoys are listening to their colonial masters and sharping their knives to stab into Duterte's back.

Aung San Suu Kyi is also on the hair cross of the Americans. Her removal is only a matter of time. She is a hot target in Canberra when the Asean leaders met with the self appointed white Sheriff of SE Asia.

So is Hun Sen. The Australians are using the Meeting to attack Asean leaders that are not little USAs or American cronies using human rights as the weapon. Why aren't the Asean leaders counter attack the Australian white Australia policies that are still in force under different guises? The Australians have been practising racism against Asians for centuries to keep Australia white and the natives in their black hole.

Aung Sang Suu Kyi, Najib and Hun Sen should also skip the submit unless they are willing to be slammed by the white supremacists in Australia acting as the agent of the evil Empire.

With the American hands everywhere meddling with the domestic politics of Asean countries, would Singapore also do their bidding to gang up against the North Koreans? Singapore has not made any official statement on this but the Americans have already said so.

What is certain is that these foolish Asean leaders would go on their bended knees to have a chance to be invited to the White House to have a meal with the Emperor and would be so happy and proud of the invite. Even Najib would be very pleased if the Emperor were to send him an invitation and he would go ga ga and forgot about the 1MDB persecution and the millions he has lost. And all his merry men would be hysterical if invited to an aircraft carrier and would do anything the Americans told them to, even thinking of starting a war with China.

The silliness of the Asean leaders for not being able to tell a devil standing in their face is in their DNA. The Americans could screw them everyday and they would still go running when the Americans say fetch. When would Najib or his deputies be like eager beavers queuing to be invited to the White House? When would the Pinoys be bowing down to the Emperor and offering their land as American bases again, to be the colony of the Americans? When would Thailand and Myanmar do the same? When would the Indonesians also crawl to the White House when beckoned?

Oops, I for got to include Thailand's Ocha also being attacked by the Americans for his military rule. The Americans have forgotten that Thailand provided them the military bases to attack Vietnam during the Vietnam War. Come to think of it, only two or three Asean  leaders are not being attacked by the Americans and its cronies.

Why would Asean think it appropriate to have a bilateral meeting with a country with a population less than Malaysia as if it is really a big power? This is really disgraceful.

A deep distrust with the PAP government – and the time to think, act and vote differently

“We have a greedy and insecure Govt that hoards, amasses wealth for its own good. And with a deluded and deceptive syndrome (like a bee in your bonnet) that “there is never enough”, backing reasons like “country with no natural resources” and citing policies “to benefit the poor and marginalised”.
Really! We have gone pass that years ago!

As long as we have our uncles and aunties cleaning toilets, floors and tables in the food centres when they should be enjoying the twilight years, and the complete contrast of high ministerial/public servants salaries, how do you account for that or even justify? Where is the improved livelihood?....

There is now a deep distrust with the pap Govt. It’s time for us to think, act and courageously vote differently at the ballot box.

We must stop the self-deluded and self-destructive excuse that there ain’t enough talent in Singapore, or in other political parties other than the People’s Action Party (PAP).
We are Singaporeans, all the same, no different from the other.

Observe closely. We have a Law/Home Affairs minister who continues to conjure up every conceivable law to police our country with its intention to police our minds. Where is this directive from or is he acting on his own?...”
James Martin Aruldoss

The above appeared in TRE. This sense of distrust is growing while those in power are oblivious to it. They did not see anything wrong with what they are doing. They cannot see anything wrong with their compulsory schemes to rob the people of their CPF savings in ‘profit making’ insurance schemes. I will continue to say that the compulsory schemes are ‘profit making’ until the govt comes out to state categorically that they are not and all cumulated funds collected that were not paid out would be returned to the contributors to the compulsory schemes. It is morally unacceptable and wrong to use the law to compel the citizens to buy compulsory insurance policies that are ‘profit making’ in nature.

These are not the only things they could not see wrong. The flooding of the island with millions of foreigners to steal the jobs of Singaporeans and forcing many Singaporeans out of job is good for the people, provide jobs for the Singaporeans, so they claimed. They don’t care. To them the PMETs losing their jobs is normal, acceptable and they are to be blamed. To those who lost their jobs, their families suffered with them.

The wasting of tax payers’ money to fund foreign students in our tertiary institutions is robbing the people’s hard earned money, paid as taxes, to benefit foreigners that have nothing to do with us. This too they could not see anything wrong with it. The sum spent is not just hundreds of millions.

The bullying of opposition politicians to them is being very clever, listen to their clever arguments. The people are saying you know what to such childish antics. They could not see anything wrong with it.

And some jokers even asked how to regain trust of the people! The jokers that cannot understand what is wrong with what they are doing to the country and people would surely not find the answer. Please forgive them for they know not what they are doing. Ignorance is an excuse and good reason to forgive.

The thing is that the trust will get thinner and thinner if they refuse to look at themselves and the big hole they are digging for themselves. I have read in the social media saying that some day some may be put behind bars when a new govt comes to power. How true would this be would depend on how the new govt uses or abuses their power to deal with their political enemies. What goes around would come around. The govt must not set bad precedence for future govt to follow. Future govts can behave like thugs if they think they could get away with it.

My bruising past

The police report lodged by Ms Claudia Kwan after her 3-year-old daughter came back from pre-school with a bruise and swelling on her right ear brought a smile to my face. Not a smile of sadism but of fond remembrance. It brought back memories of an era when coming home from school with bruised ears or knuckles was no big deal, much less worthy of a police report. Those were the days when teachers doubled as Gestapo thugs to dish out dire punishment to disobedient students. Female teachers were particularly vicious - their claw-like nails left many a ear lobe with indelible pinch marks while the more inventive among them transformed wooden rulers into knuckle-dusters to rap (what else?) knuckles.

Not to be outdone, male teachers lined errant students against the wall and machine-gunned them with rapid-fire slaps. For talking in class, I found myself facing such a firing squad one fateful day. There were five of us and the four wimps next to me were already in floods and tears when the first “shot” rang out.  From the corner of my eye, I could see their heads jerk from the impact of his slaps. But I told myself I would never let a teardrop fall even if my head rolls. Shocked at my dry-eyed resistance, the embarrassed executioner whipped in two more slaps in a desperate bid to coax some fluid out of my tear glands. Just then, the public address system came to my rescue - not that I needed it. “Will Mr XXX come to the principal’s office! Will Mr XXX come to the principal’s office!” So off he trudged, with his tail between his legs.

When I came home with teacher’s finger marks plastered across face, my parents barely offered me a glance. They had our next meal to worry about. Since my hadn’t gone missing, what’s the big deal? Fast-forward to the present when a child’s bruised ear is enough to trigger Facebook postings, a police report and over-the-top parental hysteria, and you get the distinct feeling that you’re living in a different age. Different yes, but better? You be the judge.

Can Kim Jong Un trust the Americans?

A meeting between Kim Jong Un and Trump is on the card, scheduled in May. This is another historic moment of the new century. But many rascals are insinuating that Trump must not trust Kim Jong Un and the North Koreans. The truth is the reversed.
Kim Jong Un’s father, Kim Jong Il was betrayed and cheated by the conniving and lying Americans. He signed an agreement with the Americans to denuclearize and after dismantling his nuclear installations the Americans cheated him by heaping more demands than were agreed. Kim Jong Il tore the agreements and went back to rebuild his nuclear facilities.

Today we have a North Korea that is a full fledged nuclear power whether the Americans want to admit it or otherwise. A nuclear power is a nuclear power and does not need a recognition and acceptance from the Americans. Thanks to the Americans for betraying Kim Jong Il.

Now the Americans and their cronies are demanding that the North Koreans to denuclearize, to dismantle its nuclear weapons and facilities. In return the North Koreans are demanding a guarantee that their country would not be invaded or nuked by the Americans.

Can the North Koreans trust the Americans after being cheated by the Americans before? How can the Americans guarantee that North Korea would not be invaded or nuked after they have denuclearized, without nuclear weapons? Even if Trump were to give his personal guarantee, can the next American president or future presidents abide by this agreement and guarantee? Surely not.

The North Koreans are safe from an invasion led by the Americans or Japanese today because of the nuclear weapons and the support of Russia and China. If they have no nuclear weapons, the Americans could turn a blind eye and allow the Japanese or other crony countries to attack the North Koreans while pretending to be neutral, or worse, do it themselves.

A guarantee that North Korea would not be invaded or nuked is as good as No guarantee. The Americans cannot be trusted. Look at what is happening in the Middle East, in Iraq, in Libya, in Syria and the other countries where the Americans have invaded and with troops on the ground and refusing to leave. Ask what had happened to Saddam Hussein and Gaddafi and the outrageous WMD ploy.

It would be foolish for Kim Jong Un to trust the evil Americans, the country that lives by the notion of American Exceptionalism. They can do anything they want, to invade and do regime change to any country they want. They can tear to pieces any agreement they have signed, like TPP, Climate Change or refusing to sign agreements like the Law of the Sea and many other UN sanctioned agreements.

An American guarantee is like a guarantee given by the devil. I am sure Kim Jong Un would be smarter than to be duped by the Americans.

Who to blame or who do you vote for to ruin your life

Below is an extract of an article from a bitter Singaporeans, not local, a Singaporean. He is asking the same question many unemployed and highly qualified and experienced PMETs are asking. Many just resigned to their fate and disappeared even in govt statistics of the unemployed, no longer part of the statistics, not even good enough to be a statistic, forgotten, vanished. They no longer count in the percentages of unemployed to make it look as if the unemployed number is really low and acceptable.
Here is the extract by a Don Tan posted in TRE.

“A strange country, low level jobs like taxi drivers, insurance and property sales persons, you have highly qualified professionals. To rub salt into the would, the entry requirements for these course is you only have certificates from Singapore schools like NTU, NUS, SMU, Polys et cetera, all other certificates need to be separately assessed as they are not recognised!

What has gone wrong with this country? Third world foreigners coming into this country with inferior or fake degrees or qualifications are given good jobs while locals with good degrees and qualifications are relegated to prepare themselves to downgrade to low level career? You wonder why taxi, insurance and real estate would only prefer to look at local qualifications while govt ministries, GLCS and MNCS would hire all these third world inferior qualified?

Is this what you voted for? You are preparing yourself to be replaced by these imported FTs?”

What is happening to your country and your fellow Singaporeans? I don’t care a fuck about the locals that are not Singaporeans in such a situation. Now you even have MPs caring for PRs when the PRs are not eligible to vote and did not vote them to rule over you. They rather take care of PRs that are classified as locals than Singaporeans.
How many of you are PMETs and in dire strait like those attending courses with Don Tan and no MP would want to give you a helping hand?

Wake up daft Sinkies. Vote for people who care for you, not to care for foreigners even if they are classified as locals. They are not citizens, not Singaporeans. They are here stealing your jobs.

Chee Hong Tat - Test balloons are false and vicious

SINGAPORE: The Workers' Party could have used its "test balloons" allegation on the timing of the Goods-and-Services Tax (GST) "to great effect for political attacks", if the Government had not challenged it in Parliament, Senior Minister of State Chee Hong Tat has said.

"Had the Government not pursued the matter in Parliament, most people would have overlooked Ms Lim’s 'test balloon' comment.  However, the WP could later use it to great effect for political attacks, including during the next general election," he wrote in a letter addressed to all Singaporeans published on the People's Action Party (PAP) website on Saturday (Mar 10)....

Mr Chee said in his letter that her allegation was "false and vicious" and "goes to the heart of the Government's integrity".

"The underlying sting of that allegation was that the Government was being dishonest with the people," he wrote.

The WP could then repeat the allegation at election rallies and claim that since the Government did not rebut it in Parliament, "it must be true", he said.

I thought after Sylvia Lim refused to apologise to Grace Fu's threat to file a complain against her this silly chapter on the test balloon allegation would have been closed and forgotten. The above is another report in Channel News Asia on Chee Hong Tat's public letter to the people to tell the people how dangerous is the test balloon allegation.
For goodness sake, testing the ground before implementing or changing policies or laws have been a standard practice by almost every govt all over the world. There are times when policies are unpopular or controversial or simply bad for the people and govts need to be very careful of the backlash if introduced. They would adopt all kinds of tactics to test the ground, soften the ground, creating fake news and misinformation to distract or convince the people to believe the policies are good and not bad for the people. Some govts may even tell lies to get the people to believe in their bad policies.
Test balloon is just another different expression of such govt tactics. It is nothing new or abnormal. What is the farce all about? Test balloons are false and vicious?

I give up. It is a waste of time and resources like crying wolf or throwing a red herring to confuse the people. Oops, is crying wolf false and vicious, is throwing a red herring false and vicious, like test balloon?

What do you think?

PS. I think the people would be better educated and entertainment reading my rubbish in mysingaporenews.

Driverless trains need drivers

Below is a comment by a Stupida posted in TRE.

“After spending a fortune on driverless trains,
we will now have drivers in the trains becos the
tech is not working. However, we are going to go
ahead with being a cashless society – and do it
Overnight, rather than ease in – and there’s no
backup in place when the machines break down. “

Stupida has a point. Driverless trains come with a technology to save on manpower, thus more expensive than trains that need drivers. Now driverless trains need drivers to be more efficient and safer. This is really stupidity has no cure.

And it reminds me of not just going cashless and when the system goes bonkers, everyone must make sure got money in his pocket, but driverless cars. They are testing driverless cars and if the above case of driverless trains is what is coming, driverless cars would still need drivers to be safe.

What’s new, kopi O kosong with sugar? Saving a life time with money in the CPF for retirement but not enough money for retirement? Still need to save more and have more insurance policies. Having compulsory medical insurance and still needs to have minimum sum in Medisave Account to be doubly sure got money for medical?

Got PM, 2 deputy PMs, still need more ministers in PMO? Got MPs still need mayors?
Alamak, susah lah. Not only susah, anyone think this is a big waste of money?

Post by Concerns of a Heartland Sinkie - Part 3

As mentioned before, pls edict/ amend any error you may deem fit. Thank you.

"Generally, wages in the labour market are determined in the below simplified algebraic equation:

W = PeF(u,z)

On the other hand, prices that producers charged to consumers can be determined by the following equation:

P = (1+Tgst) (1+m)W

Substituting the first equation into the second, we get:

P = Pe(1+Tgst)(1+m)F(u,z)

Further simplifying the factor “u” and converting it to output (Y) yields the following relation:

P = Pe(1+Tgst)(1+m)F(1-Y/L, z)

Given LHS is P (price level) & RHS contains Y (national output), this relation can be plotted in a Price Level – National Output space.

At any given aggregate demand, when the term “Tgst” is increased, say eg from 7% to 9%, at each and every national output level, P would be higher translating to a decrease in the aggregate supply.

Thus, the effect as shown (Mathematically) above implies that at a given aggregate demand, an increase in Tgst would lead to the double-whammy pernicious effects of a higher price level and a reduced national output."

NB: Above formulations are “clobbered” together during lunch break hours (on 9 Mar 2018) amidst gobbling down of a take-way sandwich in a crowded “chairless” stand only tall tables eatery in town area. The “inspiration & motivation” (to “clobber” above-mentioned formulations) came from reading Uncle RB’s post while walking to buy a quick lunch. Thus, there may be oversight in the formulation. If there is any conceptual “discrepancy”, would humbly and highly appreciate any learned economist working near Uncle RB’s office in MBFC, RP or any Economics Professor teaching in the Unis to share their insights. Thank you so much in advance.

A childish parliament versus an adult parliament

How can there be a childish parliament? You are right, all parliaments are for adults, national leaders, men and women and some very young men and young women. There is no parliament for children. The only parliament that is for children is a moot parliament that sometimes the schools would organize to educate the children and let them do some role playing to experience what the lives of adults would be like.

In a childish parliament, you can expect them to speak childishly and behave childishly as it is only natural for children to do so. And the language used would be childish as well. Any bad words used would not be tolerated and they would squirm and report to the teacher in charge. In a childish parliament, you would not expect them to be rude or to talk nonsense, oops, maybe children will do, occasionally as they would not know the difference.

Of course a childish parliament would not stand up to the adult’s expectation of honesty, integrity and truthfulness, at best like a debate. Oh yes, a childish parliament would have all the rules like in a debate. Everyone would be allowed to speak with a limited time and in decorum, speak good English, no Ingrish or Singlish. And no telling grandfather and grandmother stories.

Why, because time is precious in a debate. Each one is only given a limited time and they cannot afford to waste time telling grandfather stories. In a real adult parliament, you can imagine how much time is wasted if a parliamentarian wasted one hour telling grandfather stories. Not only he/she would waste her/his one hour, but the one hour of the PM, the ministers and all the MPs. And if this is broadcast over TV, it would waste the time of millions of viewers. Time is precious even in a childish parliament.

Actually, I think, an adult parliament has a lot to learn from a childish parliament. There are good things, good rules to learn from a childish parliament. Those good debaters should conduct lessons on how to speak well, speak eloquently in an adult parliament, even conduct good Ingrish lessons.
Another important thing about childish parliament is that they would not allow anyone to talk cock. The girls would be blushing. And if a boy were to get angry and shout, fuck you, the girls would be running out to hike in the toilet, some would faint. That is what childish parliament would be like.

Teacher, teacher, he cannot say like dat, cannot use bad words.

Chan Chun Seng just gave me a reason to support GST hike

Read the extract of an article posted by Augustine Low in the TRE below.

‘Forgo the GST hike and Singaporeans could end up finding imported goods and holidays less affordable. This was the warning given by Chan Chun Sing at a Lunar New Year dinner.

The pain of having to contend with price hikes and tax hikes is bad enough. But politicians like Chan have the habit of making it worse by giving excuses and rationale which shows a disregard for Singaporeans’ common sense and intelligence.

Defending the GST hike, Chan Chun Sing somehow managed to turn it into something which simply had to be done, otherwise Singaporeans would lose their privilege to continue enjoying imported goods and cheaper holidays.

How he got from GST hike to imported goods and cheaper holidays is a classic case of taking the argument to the extreme in order to convince Singaporeans that a GST hike is the only way out because the alternative is far worse.

To sum up Chan’s argument: without the GST hike, the government would have to draw from reserves and the world would surmise that Singapore has a weak fiscal policy. Forces at large would therefore collude to weaken and destabilise the Sing dollar, and after the Sing dollar comes under attack, Singaporeans’ savings and spending would be negatively impacted. The result: less money for imported goods and holidays.

Wow! And just like that, Singaporeans are supposed to buy into his argument that a GST hike is preferable to none?’

I state categorically that the above is not written by me, but appeared in the TRE.
I am truly convinced by such clever argument. Our PM in the making, more good years coming with more GST hikes. Oh, there is another reason to support the GST hike, it will help the poor, for the good of the poor. Now, how not to support the GST hike, you tell me lah.

PS. Below are some not so complementary and hilarious comments on our future PM in Ausgustine Low’s article. Please don’t take them seriously and treat them as fake news or comments of the losers.

Idiot politician is not the problem, the problem is we have idiot voters keep voting for them. That’s the reason, Chan Chun Seng treats Singaporeans as idiot.

Korean Reunification amidst new realities and Korean interests

After the Korean War, nearly 70 years have gone by and many leaders have come and gone. The North Koreans are seeing a third generation of leaders led by the grand son of Kim Il Sung while the South has seen many leaders served and departed. The leaders of both Koreas are of a very different generation from the Cold War days and are coming to terms with the new realities of a 21ts Century world and a new generation of Korean people on both sides of the 38 parallel.

War is increasing becoming irrelevant to settle differences between people of a country, of the same nationality, race and culture except for the evil Empire. The Germans have reunited. The Vietnamese have reunited. The Chinese are working to be reunited but with a long trajectory without wanting to force the issue unless the Taiwanese seek independence. The reunification of Taiwan is a matter of time, a matter of when. There is no hurry as the two people and economy get to fuse and intertwined more closely and become more interdependent.

North and South Korea would also be reunited in a matter of time. They are one people and would not be separated forever. The issue is how to go about this reunification. The new reality is to bring about a reunification peacefully. The two halves of Korea could start by agreeing on some fundamental principles like China and Taiwan, that there is one China and the reunification will be by peaceful negotiation. And they shall not be pressured by time, that the reunification must take place within a fixed time frame. Let the future generations, if necessary to settle the reunification issue if needed be as long as the One China principle is not threatened. There could even be a gray period of one country two systems to gradually integrate and merge the two into One China.

North Korea and South Korea could adapt the Chinese model, agree that there is one Korea and reunification will be by peaceful negotiation without a fixed time frame and they could even live with a one country two systems for a long gestation period till the two people and govts are ready to be reunited as one Korea.

When there is agreement that war is no longer an option and both agree on the eventual reunification of the two Koreas by peaceful means, both govt and people could start to work more closely, cooperate with each other, share and help each other as they progress along without being forced into a war by the evil Empire. The denounciation of war would remove the main reason for the Americans to justify continuous war games to provoke the North Koreans.

South Korea should also exert its independence and not be coerced to conduct provocative war games with the Americans to threaten North Korea. All acts of hostility should cease and replace by acts of cooperation and good will. These would pave the way to the eventual reunification of the two Koreas peacefully, in 30, 50 or 100 years. Let the Korean people be reunited as one people again without going to wars, without having to be in a hurry.

Keep the foreigners out of the equation and settle the differences among the Koreans themselves, with both sides pledging not to go to war. The Koreans must decide their own fate and not be dragged into a war by the evil Americans and Japanese. They must treasure their independence and unity as a proud people living in peace like the Vietnamese now, after driving out the foreign forces in their land and reunited as one people to charge their own destiny.

There is great hope that the wise leaders in Kim JongUn and Moon Jae In would be able to bring their people and country together. The Americans and Japanese are still working desperately to bring the two Koreas to a war instead of reunification. Only the Korean people can avoid this calamity to their people and country by seeking peace through negotiation.

A simple way to guesstimate the reserves

The non transparent secret of the country’s reserves, speculated to be worth $1 trillion has been subjected to many queries as to what is really there. As it is a closely guarded state secret, no one really knows, even the President that holds the second key to guard the reserves. In a way, the reserves could be like a mirage of a mountain of gold. The people could imagine or were told that it is large and is there, but cannot feel or touch it. The big question in many people’s mind is whether this is true. It is only fair for any reasonable man to have doubts about something that is like what the salesman told them, and they have to believe his words, to trust him.

When the people are kept in the dark, it is very difficult to know the truth. The more the govt tries to hide this info, the more suspicious will be the people who want to know the truth. And the more the govt is frantically trying to raise taxes, even very unpopular measures, the more worried would be the people as to the health of this gold mountain mirage. Simple, got so much money no need to panic to raise so many taxes. The reason that the reserves cannot be touched, to be kept for the rainy day, is hogwash. It was touched many times during Nathan’s days.

Let’s see what we can extrapolate from some of the official statistics provided by Heng Swee Kiat to figure out how much is there in the reserves. The estimated NIRC for FY2018 is $15.9. I am not sure this is profit earned for the whole year prior to FY2018 or the estimated returns for FY 2018, ie not earned yet. But putting this aside let’s just use this number as a basis to extrapolate the reserves gold mountain.

The $15.9b is net return, ie after paying 2.5%/4%/5% interest to CPF members, estimated at $400b borrowed. If we use a 3% interest paid to CPF, this would work out to be $12b. The gross profit from the funds invested, less expense other than CPF interest, would be $12b + $15.9b +15.9b = $43b. Assuming NIRC is 50% of net income and balance 50% went into the reserves.

The govt has been using a 3.5% figure as the returns from investing our reserves. Thus if $43b is the gross return or 3.5%, the reserves should be $1.23 trillion. If we use just the $31b as net return, the reserves should be $886b. Could have use $32b ie 15.9 +15.9

But 3.5% return is supposed to be an average. The estimated return of $31b could be 5%, 7.5% or 10% over the years. These would give the reserves as $620b, $413b and $310b respectively. I use the different percentages to show that the higher the rate of return, the lower would be the reserves.

Alternatively if we use $43b as the gross return and 5%, 7.5% and 10% return, the reserves could be $860b, $573b and $430b respectively.

The good news, the reserves could be as high as $1.23t or $886b. The bad news, it could be as low as $310b or $430b.

If the funds are not performing that well, ie making a 3.5% return, then the reserves could be in the region of $886b to $1.23t. Someone said the interest rate for long term interest, risk free is about 3%. What is the point of paying hundreds of millions to fund managers to bring in 3.5% with high risk of losing the capital. Sack the whole bunch if they cannot bring in more than 5% returns.

Extrapolating from the rate of returns based a given NIRC of $15.9b, the paradox is that higher the percentage of returns means lower reserves and vice versa. If the funds are doing well, ie making returns of 5%, 7.5% or 10%, then the reserves could be quite scary, like a glittering golden mountain but not all gold.

What is the real thing, when would this be made known, or forever be in the unknown?

PS. MOF stats stated that GIC has a 20 year annualized return of 3.7% while Temasek’s annualized return from 2002 to 2014 is 15%.

Parking up the wrong tree

I knew it would come, sooner rather than later. No, I am not talking about the GST hike - that one would come later rather than sooner (you have the Government’s word on that). I am talking about the Parking Places (Amendment) Bill that was introduced in Parliament to curb indiscriminate bicycle parking. When I saw the unsightly mounds of two-wheelers dumped (rather than parked) like scrap heap across the island, I knew the end was nigh - “How long can the Government tahan when even I cannot tahan!?”

So as sure as night follows day, up popped the proposed scheme to license bike-sharing firms and hold them accountable for their customers’ sins. Under this scheme, the size of the operators’ bicycle fleet would be reviewed every six months, based on how well they manage the illegal parking problem and how often their bikes are used. Other details include data-sharing with the authorities and removing illegally parked bikes in a timely manner. Failure to meet the authorities’ standards would attract fines (max $100K) and even cancellation of licence.
It’s ingenious. In one fell swoop, the authorities have put the onus of tidying up the mess on the operators. And they may well succeed. Monetary caning in Singapore seldom fails, let alone the threat of business closure. But is this really the end of the problem? Have we answered the larger question of what’s behind inconsiderate parking? In the same way that litter bugs treat our island like a gigantic dustbin, bikers are treating it like an unregulated bike-park. But why?
I cast my mind back to a 2015 article by The Straits Times’ Han Fook Kwang who lamented on the declining standards of cleanliness in Singapore. Han’s article was inspired by PM Lee Hsien Loong’s FB post of a photo of the rubbish left behind after a music festival at Gardens by the Bay. A sampling of the comments that followed PM’s post included (a) schools should develop the right values instead of focusing only on academic achievements (b) too many Singaporeans are brought up in households where maids do all the cleaning (c) Singapore society looks down on cleaners, so children grow up thinking cleaning up is beneath them. But the one comment that hit the nail well and truly on the head is ownership and responsibility. When you consider yourself as part of the community and not a community apart, you will take ownership and responsibility of the public space in a way that many bike-sharing riders have so far failed to do.  The authorities should not just stop at fixing illegal parking. Our sense of community needs fixing too. Miss out on that and we would simply be parking up the wrong tree.

How can Singaporeans compete with more skilled, experienced and cheaper foreigners?

The above is the title of an article by Leong Sze Hian in the TRE. The content of the article argued against the policy of inviting foreigners to steal the jobs from Singaporeans, which to me is a very disgusting and deplorable thing to do to the citizens of a country. In general I quite agree with what Leong Sze Hian wrote. But I would like to take issue with the way the title is written which gives an impression that foreigners are really more skilled and experienced than Singaporeans, cheaper in some cases but not all. Do you know how much are they paying to the foreign CEO of local banks and other GLC linked companies?

Many of the foreigners came from third world countries that are less developed than ours. If these foreigners are that good, if their education system are that good, their countries would not be in such deplorable state and condition.

Two, many of the foreigners are rejects and failures or unemployed in their countries. The good ones will be employed. How can we compare our able workers with these failures and claimed that they are more skilled and more experienced than our own workers?

Third, many of their paper qualifications and the experience they put down in their CVs are fake. How to compare our people's qualifications and experience with fakes and claiming that they are better? At least half of them are fakes or have faked qualifications and experience.

There are exceptions, but in general, the foreigners coming here are the average at best and mostly the rejects and the fakes. Do a proper screening of their qualifications and experience and you will be shock to find out what and who they really are, what kind of education they got.

Singaporeans should not assume that the foreigners are better than them. If they are they would not be here but holding high appointments in their own countries or in the West. Even in the West, many companies are being run down by these foreigners and they are starting to fire them. The West have been sleeping for a while and hired a lot of the half bakes and fake foreigners. More of these companies in the West and also in Singapore will be run down by these foreigners in a matter of time. Some have already gone to dust or are on the way.

Do not take it for granted that the foreign fakes and half bakes are better than our workers.

The fakes and half bakes cannot cheat and fool everyone all the time. Even in IT, the signs are everywhere that the quality are half baked as well. Look at Creative Technology, after Sound Blaster, they went into incubation for a while but has reemerged with another earth shattering product in Super X-Fi Audio Holography, a product that would revolutionise the sound of headphones and mobile phones. This is home grown innovation that you don't get in third world countries.

Would there be more money to support Creative Technology into another international giant or would our money be poured into third world half baked companies and run down bankrupt western companies because we don't believe in our own talents, our own companies but in foreign fakes?

Article by Concerns of a Heartland Sinkie - Part 2...

The immigration policy is probably a stop gap measure than a long term solution. Old fart had acknowledged during the 2010/ 2011 interviews for the launch of his "Hardtruths" that the TFR of naturalised immigrants was even worst than indigenously born sinkies ...?

In other words, the (short term) solution provided by the stop gap immigration policy would in time to come as the earlier immigrants aged morph into another problem instead of being a solution and greatly aggravate the precarious demographic development unfolding in peesai ...? The ratio of aged in the population could shoot up exponentially in the near future and onwards ...? Then what next?

So what could be the actual "Hardtruths" instead ...?

For what is to come, just look at the recent release of the 2017 A Level results and the ensuing flurry of annoucements by the recruiting unis ...?

In the face of declining enrollment now and in the coming years, many are repackaging their courses with double degrees, double majors etc etc ... no?

To make up for the short fall further down the road, are they going to repackage and offer triple degrees, triple majors & even quadruple degrees and quadruple majors ...?

Again the language used is fantastic and not unlike sweet nothings into the dafts ears ...?

The repackaging is for the ever changing job market and thus young undergraduates, (EVEN before their first premanent job) have to equip themselves with 2 degrees (skills) instead of one to ensure higher employability when they try to get their first job upon graduating?

Now, old fart admitted long ago in the early years that the IQ profile of a people does not change much over one or two generations ... did he not?

So how could up to 50% of each cohort suddenly be blessed with such increased (mental) ability to excel in 2 degrees or 2 majors when many in the past cohorts struggled even to manage with one ...?

What has changed?

Think deeper ...?

Think deeply ...?

What has changed?

Wake up (daft) sinkies ...?

See (and think) deeper beyond what you are being told or what appears on the surface ... pls?

For the sake of the future viability and sustainability of our beloved peesai, the place many are born, bred, educated, brainwashed, trained and conditioned like dog (& bitches) etc etc ..., wake up now and immediately ... will you NOT from your deep slumber ...?

Still snoring away ...?

Good luck ...
